Data Collection

Chaplin does not collect, sell, or transmit personal data. Your game progress and settings stay on your device.

Data Types Stored

The app stores your pet stats (hunger, happiness, energy), food inventory, treats, coins, player profile (username and avatar settings), unlocks, session streaks, mini-game progress, and sleep sessions. This data is used only to power the game.

Local Storage

Your save data is stored locally on your device using iOS system storage such as UserDefaults and local app storage. Chaplin does not sync this data to external servers.

Notifications

Chaplin can send optional local notifications for feeding reminders and sleep completion. These alerts are scheduled on-device by iOS and do not require a network connection.

Third-Party Services

Chaplin does not use third-party analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, or external account systems.

Data Retention

Your save data remains on your device until you delete the app. Removing the app from your device removes the local game data stored by Chaplin.
